A Family Poem

Rugs and Textiles an Infinite Family

"I don't refer to rug dealing as a profession, even as knowledge is required, or a trade, even as trading is at its core.

Rug dealing for me is simply an ocean into which I fell, a piece of a family puzzle that I discovered, with the result being a fuller person.

When I find, buy and sell rugs, I am joining a family, bringing branches of wider families together in peace, and I accept and love them fully, as I do those bound by love and blood.

It begins with love, love of the rugs, the work itself, and the bonding that must take place in each transaction.

We are swimming in a vast sea of family.

Come in, the water is fine.

We always say is if the sheep is happy, you end up with good wool. The village process, all done by hand produces the most premium durable long lasting wool for our Challu Berbers & Chobi rugs.

The further away from industrial processes the more durable, beautiful & ethical. We also say “if branded, it’s suspect”. ❤️
