"Sickle Leaf" Aryana 269x183cms

1903

The Chobi rug was developed from the Persian Ziegler in Lahore to satisfy western taste for more neutral pastel hues and large open patterns. Highly successful, the types has spread throughout Pakistan, Afghanistan and India.

The Aryana brothers who have created workshops in Afghanistan & Pakistan bring to life a finer, more elegant version of a 'Chobi' which has taken on the name 'Chobi Aryana' and succeeded in market.

The International market values natural dyed work at a premium which allows us to pay high prices to weavers who maintain high standards. This both supports marketing based upon cultural integrity and, more significantly, shows the weavers that the world values their culture.
