Handwoven in western Persia using the famously hard-wearing local wool, the Persian Hamadan Runner is a durable village weaving with deep roots and honest charm. The repetitive, patterns undulate with the subtle tonal shifts. There are many Hamadan runners, each unique to its maker. This is probably from the village of Hosseinabad.

We photograph our rugs in real rooms and natural light, so you see them as they are. Screens vary, so if you’d like a video or more photos before you decide, just ask.
Preferably sweep with a stiff straw broom. Vacuum only lightly, in the direction of the pile, not against the grain.
Don’t be too precious. Our rugs are pure top-grade wool and virtually indestructible; there are many antique rugs still going strong today. Just stay natural, with no modern chemical cleaners or machines, and return your rug to us for a complete wash every few years.
PS Some rugs enjoy a picnic!
